ScanRole API Data

Public API for tech job market data and salary trends

ScanRole API delivers aggregated tech labor market data built exclusively from real job postings. It differs from existing products by avoiding estimations, self-reported data, or synthetic enrichment. Missing data is never inferred. The API offers stable queries, clear methodology, and consistent results suitable for analytics, research, and product integrations.

We built ScanRole API because I kept running into the same problem: most job market datasets are either opaque, estimated, or based on surveys and self-reported numbers. As a developer, it was hard to trust where the data actually came from. The goal here was simple - expose what employers really publish, aggregate it carefully, and never guess or “fill in” missing information. If something isn’t in the job post, it doesn’t magically appear in the data. During development, the focus shifted a lot toward consistency and determinism: stable sorting, predictable pagination, and a clear contract between the UI and the API. That process heavily shaped the final product. Happy to hear feedback from developers, analysts, or anyone working with labor market data — what would make this more useful for you?
