Hello everyone! 👋 I’m the creator of Sakinah, and I’m so excited to share this major update with the Product Hunt community. I originally built Sakinah because, like many of you, I spend the majority of my day in front of a computer. I wanted more than just a productivity tool—I wanted a digital sanctuary that could bring a sense of "tranquility" (Sakinah) to my workflow and help me stay connected to the Quran without distraction. With this v1.0.3 launch, Sakinah has evolved into a full New Tab experience. Every time you open a tab, you're greeted with a peaceful dashboard that keeps your prayer times, daily spiritual goals, and a private gratitude journal all in one place. A few things that were core to this update: Privacy-First: I believe your spiritual journey is private. That’s why all your data—from your journals to your bookmarks—is processed and stored strictly on your local machine. Grounded AI: I wanted to ensure the AI Guide was a tool you could trust. We’ve focused on grounding the spiritual guidance and Tafseer in verified datasets to provide authentic information and eliminate hallucinations. Sakinah is an open-source project, and I’m committed to building it alongside users who want to bring more mindfulness to their digital lives.
