This is very dangerous. Revolut may get hacked like nicehash did yesterday, and you lose all your BTC. Plus, you can't trade it with anyone apart from Revolut (ie. you can't choose which exchange to sell it on).

Pros:

easy to buy

Cons:

you don't own the crypto / can't send it to another wallet

Do not use Revolut cryptos, it's not your crypto, it is just a number in the Revolut app. No market, no market price just Revolut price. And price come from Revolut.

You can't move your BTC/LTC/ETH your wallet. It's fixed to Revolut's centralized wallet.

Pros:

Cheap

Cons:

You can't sell your cryptos anyone but only to Revolut.

Hey @syck, we've partnered with the leading crypto exchanges, Gdax and Bitstamp, and only apply a 1.5% mark up on the real exchange rate. Based on our research this allows us to offer our customers to buy and sell Bitcoin at a better rate than with Coinbase & co.

So Revolut App launches crypto support but offers no way to transfer your coin to another wallet.... So how can I buy stuff in BTC with this?

Use support in-app to cancel your premium membership if like me you you only got it on the assumption crypto would be treated like fiat.

Pros:

Chea, Great UI

Cons:

Not your coin, you can't move it to another wallet - renders it useless

Please please allow us to buy crypto and send to other wallets. This is not a nice to have feature, it's a must have.

I wanted to sign up my whole company to a Business account but now this has made me stop.

When will we be able to send cryptos out of revolut?

Pros:

One of the best signup experiences ever, very cool app

Cons:

It seems that I cant send my crypto currency to my other wallets outside Revolut - Gutted!

I agree, if you don't have a wallet address and can't send and receive from other wallets, then are you really buying coins? or is it all a bit fake? It's not a nice to have, its a must.

Hi guys- thought id found the intermediary between the exchanges and high street banks but havent tested the crypto account yet. Are you guys confirming that no third party wallet access exists? I'm looking to withdraw from my trading wallet. Trade wallet BTC > Revolut > High Street bank GBP ..... anyone else cracked this without silly SEPA / Banking fees?

Like with everyone, this flies against everything cryptos stand for. You are unable to withdraw any of the cryptos in your wallet and this in effect centralizes your BTC to Revolut. Really scary stuff.

Pros:

Cheap, does what it says

Cons:

Your BTC is stuck in Revolut. You must as well call it Revolut BTC.

This implementation really seems to be aimed at people who see cryptocurrencies as an investment asset, rather than a true currency - and I think that's a fairly accurate assessment of the market at the moment. Who is really spending their bitcoin right now?

Pros:

Super easy, and held by a trusted financial company

Cons:

More of an 'investment' product than a 'currency'

A sustainable crypto currency needs a product or service attached to it and can not be fueled by speculation. Bitcoin is fueled by speculation coming from South Korea. Google it if you don’t believe me. Fluidleger is an ambitious crypto currency that targets 200,000 USD per coin and has accountability. Fluidledger does not have the downside risk of Bitcoin making it a stand out opportunity. 5 Coins in Fluidledger have 1,000,000 USD potential Versus Downside risk of 150.00 USD. I'm sad they released the feature like this. Be careful where you store your cryptocurrency. Very dangerous.

Pros:

easy

Cons:

it's a paid feature, you have to spend a lot of money to get there.

also super dangerous because you can't move the currency

I was incredibly dissapointed to no be able to move my crypto to Revolut. Dont think i will trade any digital on there.

Pros:

revolut's UI/UX easy

Cons:

NO wallet in essence means you dont own any crypto.

it is a bit fake advert, it is saying "no fees on cryptocurrencies" but then it required "just for now" a premium account for 6.99£ a month, it is a bit of a joke, since it was stating in here that is FREE/NO FEES you pay fees, they are just different kind of fees. I wasnt expecting it to be completly free, but a bit of honesty

Pros:

nice and neat interface

nice idea

Cons:

fake advert

the ui does not tell you always when is loading during the registering process

postcode search not working (UK)

This is a very dangerous product and I hope they either give users access to their private keys or at least to hashcodes proving the assets they bought are real or that people wise up and use true crypto wallets and exchanges.

Products like this go against the benefits of crypto technology.

Pros:

none!

Cons:

highest fees in the market, you don't hold the coins

Inadequate company. It is understandable that Revolut is a business and making profit out of the business is a healthy attitude. For any company running business out of legal rights is certainly not acceptable. A business should act and arrange business cooperation and customer management by following legal manners instead of following injunction of 3rd parties. According to EU and UK law no business has legal right to enforce cooperative company to collect as sensitive information as bank statement of customers and handover them to 3rd parties! They do not even have a telephone service. This is another fast growing company which is directing to an end. We will not recommend this company to anyone wishing serious business.________________________________________

On 06.04.18 we have received an email from trustpilot.com advising changes in our review as Revolut has reported this review as offensive. We also have requested trustpilot.com to point out any improper word(s)/section by mentioning to them the following:* Revolut Blocked account, never informed about blocking and never did provide with a reason of blocking account* Per their banking partner’s request they required us to send them our customers’ bank statement, which they planned to forward to their bank!, completely illegal* They required us to explain them about withdrawals from our own account, own funds and tell them what did we do with the money, we are not supposed to be obliged to explain about how do we spend our money

Pros:

Terrible company, not recommended for any use

Cons:

No recommendation. Scammed thousands and closed account without replying

I was eagerly waiting for Revolut to launch cryptos as they were teasing this feature via social media for a while. Tested upon launch, it worked like magic. Finally a quick, easy and trustworthy way to exchange and store your coins.

Pros:

Super Easy and Fast

Cons:

Would add a "confirmation" screen in case you make a mistake.

This has the potential to be the mainstream challenger to Coinbase. But why in the name of everything good in the world would you want your investment tied up in one place? I invested through this and plan to reverse it to a fiat currency and then reinvest through a platform that actually lets me in - validation is really slow on a lot of platforms, but Revolut was nice and fast.

Pros:

Actually found a route into crypto. Many oither providers are buckling under the pressure

Cons:

Your investment is trapped in Revolut. You can't move it out to another wallet. Also, the exchange rates seem a little low.

I would avoid them as they offer lowest price to sell Cryptocurrencies (any other market offer better price) and it cannot be withdrawn to the wallet which means they sell us a number in their application.

Pros:

- easy to access

Cons:

- price

- its just a number in app, we don't get Bitcoins.

- fake advert

My experience with this app is terrible. When exchanging fiat to BTC, my exchange was successful - according to the app. My balances were not yet updated. After 3 wasted hours on chat, I was informed that the exchange was reversed and I was advised to exchange again. Of course the rate changed extremely in the meantime.

I was not notified nor warned about such issue and had to ask for answers myself, spending hours on the chat.

This is a very poor service and the crypto currency exchange on this platform truly is a joke, so stay away.

Pros:

None

Cons:

Unreliable, nonprofessional

Basically they speculate in people speculating on crypto currenc. That’s fine. But when they say they are providing some of the best terms, when they most definitely do not, they are basically lying to their customers. That’s bad, even when your app looks good and your services are easy to use.

Pros:

Nice app and easy access to modern banking services

Cons:

Bragging about low prices while applying their own secret weighted pricing structure to crypto currency trades + 1.5% markup on top
