Use a single API to add features like video calling, real-time chat or screen sharing to their applications. Currently, the service is mostly focused on the Web with a JavaScript library and REST API, but Respoke plans to launch betas of its Android and iOS SDKs

@billychia Hey Billy - what inspired you to build Respoke?

@eriktorenberg Thank you for the question! At Respoke we are all part of a larger company (Digium) that has been doing communications since 1999. When WebRTC was first introduced in the Chrome browser around 2012 we knew it was going to revolutionize the entire communications landscape and began looking for opportunities on how to best meet the needs of customers using this technology. Respoke was the eventual evolution of that conversation. We had a vision that one day communications wouldn't be just an app that you use, but it would be a part of every app. One of our co-founders wrote a post today to coincide with our launch about what it is like to be a virtual startup inside of another company. It has some more details on the story :)
