I did not realize how hard it was to find and hire high quality designers and developers until I tried to build my first product. At Resplash, we have been building a list of the best designers and developers in Africa, and our goal with the platform is to make it easy for anyone to find and hire the best design talent across Africa at a really good price point. Please let me know if you have any questions.
You should post this in /r/JobBoards on Reddit
@adamrsweet That's a good idea, we'll do that. Do you have any feedback or suggestions on how we can improve the website?
Hi Product Hunters, Excited to be here, thanks @jacksmith for hunting us. One of the big problems I had when I moved to Lagos, Nigeria last year was that it was hard to find high quality design talent. Which is a big problem when you are working in a startup. @Kitoye and I decided to build a list of the best designers we could find on the continent. We realised that we had potentially solved a global problem that affects startups and enterprises worldwide and not just in Africa — with a unique value proposition i.e. we can deliver world class design at a more affordable price as a result in the difference in the cost of labour. Our goal is to find the best designers across Africa and make them easily accessible via the platform.  Finally we are also working on setting up a product design school in Lagos, to help train the next generation of designers in Africa. I'll love to hear your thoughts and feedback on the concept and what we’ve built so far.
that's a copycat of https://www.designinc.com/ website
@dainiskanopa eh it's about as close as all websites are these days. I wouldn't say they directly ripped it off
@dainiskanopa Both sites look like bootstrapped lead gen forms and it's hard to tell how good the result will be without trying them. Resplash seems unique in that they are focused on good but relatively low cost designers in Africa.
@dainiskanopa doesn't look like a copycat to me. as Eric says, both look quite generic
Great work launching! As a fellow founder of this sort of business, I wish you luck. It's really hard, and I hope you have a cofounder because that'll make it a lot easier. That said, it's also super fun. I like how you MVP'd it with the Typeform surveys. They're a bit long IMO. You could cut down the info you're asking for. And of course, eventually you're going to want your own lead forms or at least embed those Typeform surveys on your own pages so it doesn't look MVP. Best of luck.
