@jdavid1006 Joel, congrats on the launch! It looks impressive. Are you planning to expand this into a different niche? One use case I can think of is a listicle video on video editing... or maybe even motivational quotes.

@kyrylosilin It summarizes by taking the transcription and post details. It captures the ingredients, steps and other details you might find in a recipe. Formatted simply. I have! So that was sort of the whole plan all along. I wanted it to be a simple way to grab the info and export it anywhere (ie a doc, note, etc.) for grocery shopping. In the future my plan is to add the Instacart API to be able to export directly to them!

@charles_ I'm hoping so! I have friends who wanted to sign up to be testers just to start using it sooner 😂. So as far as the formatting, it's basically grabbing the data within the post. That means, if it's just a bland video of a person showing a piece of chicken at the grocery store, it's not going to be able to capture anything. AI is great, but it can't read minds yet! The editing features are simple. I really wanted to capture the idea that it's a 'simple' app to import recipes from Instagram and export them anywhere. Basically, maybe you don't like red pepper flakes or chili powder, well you can just delete that ingredient. Or maybe after generating the shopping list you realize that you don't need tomatoes and pasta because you already have them in the pantry. Simply just delete them.

@jeet_gope I'm not entirely sure what you mean by different formats, but if I understand correctly, AI will essentially put it into the same format regardless of the recipe format. It will include any recipe details, the steps, and ingredients. Then, you'll have the power to export either the full recipe, or just the ingredients anywhere. As far as customizing, you can edit anything you like. The only thing that is un-editable is the thumbnail. That's pulled directly from Instagram and stored in the cloud. Excited to serve you as a customer!

@ema_elisi The AI works by essentially grabbing the info that's in the post. So if the post is just a bland video of something simple like someone showing a piece of chicken at the grocery store, it likely won't be able to pull any info. The imported formats are not as essential, however, I've noticed that posts/reels that include the info in the caption as well as the creator talking (i.e. the transcription), AI can better serve as it has more data. Mostly true with everything in life (i.e. more data = better decisions) 😂. Yes, it can handle various cuisines and specialty diets. Really any reel or post that has recipe info, it will grab. As far as the grocery delivery integration, 100% yes! I've reached out to Instacart but I still haven't heard from them as of this response. I'd love to hear what features others find useful, as that's how I can best pivot during the final pre-production phase! Right now, Recipe Reel is basically fully operational, I'm just waiting on review from Google and Apple for production release. If you're referring to the free trial, I am offering a 7-day free trial with up to 5 recipe summaries a day, after which you can invest into either a monthly or annual subscription. My goal is really to bring as much value as possible at a reasonable price. It might be worth noting that anyone who does choose to invest in the lifetime subscription, as I continue to rollout features in the coming versions (so i.e. the grocery store integration), all of those features will come to you at no extra charge.
