    Pros:

    - WeChat integration is absolutely clutch. Nobody does it nearly as good as them (if they do it at all?).

    - Found them on PH months ago!

    Cons:

Familiarizing with bots and how they could be leveraged successfully. Felt like less of a Recime thing though.

We built our product on Recime, top to bottom. Recime team was ridiculously helpful, and the bot was popular enough to get into Forbes!

Woot! Appreciate all the help Recime team. Love the new updates, keep crushing!

👋 Product Hunt(ers), This is Joseph, I am a co-founder of Recimē. We've just launched Recimē 2.0 - a new version of our platform focused on self-service chatbot creation, and on chatbot customization/extensibility. With this version, we aim to give brands a potent tool for delivering tailored conversations to their users. Here is what’s new: 1. New user interface for easy code-free creation of chatbots, which targets non-techies such as digital managers and marketers. This also helps developers quickly build flows. 2. Full chatbot customization and extensibility through: a. New “cloud code” module which enables developers to extend existing chatbots with JavaScript (ES6), yet without provisioning or managing servers. CLI is also supported. b. Ability to consume data from external sources such a CRM or a CMS. c. Ability to plug in external tools, such as marketing automation or analytics. d. Ability to create reusable custom modules. 3. Support for Viber (in addition to Facebook Messenger,WeChat, Telegram, Twitter, Slack, Kik, website chatbot and SMS). 4. Redesigned website With v2 of Recimē, we continue to execute on our vision to equip brands with the chatbot platform they need to harness the digital transformation shaping the world today. Would love to hear your feedback, especially about #1 and #2! Please email me at joseph@recime.io or comment below. Thanks! The Recime Team 🤖

@recime @josephholguin Hi Joseph, there's a lot of interest in chat bots where I work at the moment so it's always good to discover alternatives. The chatbot on your homepage seems to be limited in its execution. I went straight to using it to test your product, you should perhaps look at expanding it's responses and skills so my clients and I can see your product in action.

@simoncchapman Thanks for the feedback. We're rolling out an update to that homepage demo very soon. Please email me at joseph@recime.io and I can demo or send you some examples.

@josephholguin I am excited to learn about your product as I fit into your target audience of being a none technical digital comms strategist - I teach and speak about digital comms so am always looking for tools that can support marketing and comms professionals. I have added you to my curations. I have a few questions: - do you have video tutorials to help people understand how to use your platform - I registered on your site and can see the Coffee Bot there as one people can work with but I had questions about how to get set it up? - do you have a growth module so that if people leave a comment on a Facebook Page using a specific key word they will get a response through Messenger? - do you have a WordPress plugin if people want to add a Messenger bot to specific pages or posts on their site? - can people build in the option to talk to human not just the bot if that is not appropriate for some queries? - I can see the option to add images to the bot - what about audio and video? - I know that on Manychat and Chatfuel which I have been exploring there is a menu and branding - do you have a persistent menu and is it possible to have the bot unbranded? Many thanks.

@josephholguin @krishnade Hi Krishna De, Let me try to answer some of the questions on behalf of @josephholguin First of all great questions! Glad that you want to learn more about the product. Please find my answers below: - do you have video tutorials to help people understand how to use your platform - I registered on your site and can see the Coffee Bot there as one people can work with but I had questions about how to get set it up? => We are working on some of the video tutorials now and also I will update the documentation no later than this weekend to reflect some of the new changes like Coffee Bot you have mentioned. - do you have a growth module so that if people leave a comment on a Facebook Page using a specific keyword they will get a response through Messenger? => We call it live support/inbox, like if someone types "help" or if it misses the conversation. This will let you connect you with a real person. Since we are x-plat meaning our bot not only works on FB but across the board, we are working on a solution now that will let you do just that. So in a few weeks =). - do you have a WordPress plugin if people want to add a Messenger bot to specific pages or posts on their site? => You can copy /paste the headchat script from publish tab to your WordPress website and it will work just like an FB messenger bot (not just text but rich content). In coming weeks, we will make the experience even better. - can people build in the option to talk to human not just the bot if that is not appropriate for some queries? => Glad, you asked. Since AI can't replace humans but it can connect you to a right person. I do feel the pain when Amex keeps me on hold transfer the call to 10 different ppl. Ohh, the voice is coming too. Can't just wait to release it out=). - I can see the option to add images to the bot - what about audio and video? => It's all coming =). Next week we are adding video. Thanks for the feedback! This helps! - I know that on Manychat and Chatfuel which I have been exploring there is a menu and branding - do you have a persistent menu and is it possible to have the bot unbranded? => You can remove the branding updating menu.json via CLI and now adding to do same from the UI. Our personal plan is just 19.99 which will let you remove that branding. But we believe in a mantra "Don't be evil", so we just need your email do a free upgrade if it is just for personal use =). Hope this helps! Cheers! Mehfuz

@josephholguin : I have used ChatFuel, ManyChats and OnSequel in the past and come to know Recime about for the first time. Just logged it and it looks interesting. Few questions: 1. I couldn't find any option to disbale or remove 'Persistent Menu' on Chatfuel while we do have that option with OnSequel, how about your tool? Also, with free chatmaking option, is it possible to hide 'Made with Recime' option. On mobiles, it takes lot of space. :( 2. I mainly want to use it for my content media website ( similar to Buzzfeed) so that I can auto-broadcast my new posts to all subscribers based on the category ( video, sports, humor etc) they have subscribed for. I believe auto-fetch using RSS is possible here ( Right? ) but can we also segregate based on the category the subscriber select? 3. Is there any way to backup/export the user's email ID or overall data to be able to use it in the future if this site goes down or I wanted to shift to some other botmaker? Also, is importing data from other tools like ManyChat or ChatFuel is possible? Thank you. :)

Hi @niteshmanav, thanks for creating an account and for the feedback! Here are my responses to your questions. 1. Persistent Menu: You can currently edit by using the CLI and modifying the menu.json file ( https://docs.recime.io/facebook-... ) OR It can be removed through a paid plan. Next week we're rolling out the ability to modify menus and remove the persistent menu from the dashboard. I see your account so I'll have our team give you a free upgrade so you can have that removed. 😁 2. Auto-broadcast: You can create a media broadcast chatbot based on your website. This would be done by pulling the RSS through the JSON module and defining the chatbot content and broadcast via the Cloud Code module. Please email me at joseph@recime.io and I can connect you with our dev team for help. 3. Backup/Export: Soon we'll allow for an export/import of chatbot data. This will be done in a standard JSON format. As for exporting a user's email you can do that if you're collecting the email somewhere in the chatbot. When it comes to moving data between chatbot platforms that can't be done at the moment because each platform handles their chatbot data differently. There is no standard chatbot format that everyone supports. We are actively open-sourcing parts of Recime at https://github.com/Recime/ so if anything happens to our platform you'll be able to run your projects locally. Thank you! 🤖

@recime Hi @josephholguin , thank you so much for such a detailed and positive response. I am not a coder with my study background, still, manage to learn a few things based on specific needs. Here the hunter has written that it requires 'zero code knowledge' and hence Recime is perfect for users like me. Because of this non-standardisation of the chatbot industry, I am highly selective about the platform that I want to use for my business as there is almost no possibility to sync or migrate full data. Till now, Only OnSequel has privately given me the option to remove 'persistent menu' or 'branding thing' but there dev. team appears to be a little lazy in adding new features and updates. I am so glad that you promised to offer me the 'paid plan' option to remove menu etc. with looking into the coding depth of https://docs.recime.io/facebook-... . We are running a bootstrapped startup and hence it's very difficult for us to opt for any paid options. So, thank you. I will soon write a mail to you to activate this option and will be glad to get in the loop with some other dev. so that I don't need to disturb the co-founder again and again. :) One more thing, With OnSequel, when I used to publish a new broadcast, it was taking 10-15 minutes to reach all the subscribers. Is this industry standard? Can't it be as instantaneous as in a few seconds? PS: Just noticed #WhatsApp in the 'coming soon' section. Have they already opened their API for this? When can the release be expected? PSS: Do you have any closed Facebook group or community? Thank you.

Hi @josephholguin again, forgot to ask a thing - One the pricing page of Recime - https://recime.io/pricing/ , it says, there are only two plans - free and enterprise. And the plan differs based on performance and 'SLA Agreement, Uptime and Priority Support but after logging in- we see four plans here - https://console.recime.io/my-acc... ( screenshot - https://cl.ly/ndE0 ) This makes things little confusing. :) Though sadly, I can not afford any paid plans but won't it be a good idea to show the comparison between each of these plans ? Also, in any possible way, do you limit the number of bots or number of subscribers or the number messages that one can send in any of these plans? PS: I am researching more because I am really interested to get in and learn things. But, I don't want to get trapped and limited with any basic or must-have features in between. Hope you understand. Thank you. :)

@niteshmanav Thanks for the reply. Here is my response to all your questions. Coding: Yes a lot of your chatbot can be built without coding. For more extensive features you'll have to code a few things but we can help you find a developer to help you. Export/Import: We're working on an export in a JSON format so if you needed to you could always host the chatbot yourself. Persistent Menu/Paid Plan: Our team is updating your account. Soon you’ll be able to change those via the console. Broadcasting: Not exactly sure on the time. We’ll need to check. WhatsApp: Stay tuned for WhatsApp integration. We can’t really comment on release date. Community: we have a slack community at https://recimecommunity.slack.com/. Pricing: We’re updating our pricing pages. For the free plan you’re limited to 1 bot and on resources. Thanks, Joseph
