Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Amruth, the maker of Reactive Resume. I want anyone applying for a job to have a resume they feel confident sending. That's the idea behind this free, open-source resume builder.
Today I'm sharing v6 of a project that's been 6 years in the making. I've rebuilt the workspace around the steps of preparing an application: write your experience, design the page, and check it before you send it.
Here's what I'd love you to try:
- Write → Design → Check. Give writing, formatting and review their own space while keeping your resume visible. Review issues point to the lines they belong to.
- AI edits you can review. See the original text, suggested replacement and explanation side by side, then accept or reject each change.
- The preview is the PDF. Your resume preview and download use the same PDF engine, running in your browser.
Resumes and cover letters now live together in Documents. You can also import your LinkedIn data export without AI, and keep track of interviews and next steps in the redesigned application tracker.
Still free. Still open source. You can self-host it too. AI is optional and uses a provider you connect yourself; that provider may charge for usage.

When you last updated your resume, which part took the most effort: writing, formatting, or deciding it was ready to send? I'd love to hear whether v6 makes that part easier.
Thank you to everyone who's contributed code, translations, bug reports and ideas.
I'll be here all day answering questions!
@amruthpillai For self-hosting, is it easy to set up if I'm not a big server person? Also, does the PDF look the same when I download it as it does in the preview?
