React Native Multiple Image Picker (RNMIP) enables application to pick images and videos from multiple smart album in iOS/Android. React Native Multiple Image Picker is based on two libraries available, HXPhotoPicker and PictureSelector.
Introducing React Native Multiple Image Picker 2.0 ✨
After a month of development, I’m thrilled to present the latest version of React Native Multiple Image Picker. Powered by HXPhotoPicker, PictureSelector, and especially Nitro Modules by Marc Rousavy — the game has changed.
Recently, while working on the Binsoo project, I decided to replace TLPhotoPicker with HXPhotoPicker. I found HXPhotoPicker to be a great match for PictureSelector on Android. With enthusiastic support from Github/SilenceLove, the transition from TLPhotoPicker to HXPhotoPicker has been seamless.
What’s New in 2.0:
1. More customization options, with both platforms becoming increasingly synchronized in terms of UI and features.
2. Support for toggling between Light Mode and Dark Mode.
3. Image cropping available during selection, along with manual cropping outside the picker.
4. A simple media viewer that supports both videos and images, with compatibility for local and remote files.
5. Powered by Nitro Modules
The hero of this update. While performance improvements are notable, Nitro Modules truly shine by simplifying Swift and Kotlin development. This has made implementation faster and more efficient. Huge thanks to @mrousavy for the incredible support throughout this update!
