Hi PH 👋 I'm Yefim, an engineer at RaiseMe. We're a social enterprise working to change the way students access billions of dollars in financial aid from colleges each year. Today, we're excited to release our new iOS app that allows students to begin accruing scholarships from colleges for each of their high school achievements, starting as early as the 9th grade. We've been working hard on the app since Februrary and are very excited to finally be sharing with the world 🙌 The big idea behind RaiseMe is this: right now, billions of dollars worth of scholarship money is given out to students at the very end of high school--after they've already done well or not, applied to a college or not, and been accepted or not. That's often far too late to impact a student's college ambitions or choices. On RaiseMe students are able to earn that scholarship money starting as early as the 9th grade for doing all the things that best prepare them to succeed - whether that's getting good grades, taking AP courses, volunteering in the community, or participating in extracurricular activities. This model makes preparing for college (both financially and academically) more tangible and attainable for students, especially those from low-income and first-generation backgrounds. Our app makes it super easy for students to add achievements to their RaiseMe portfolios on the go and instantly see their earnings from colleges they're following. Check out our blog post about the launch.
