    Pros:

Their leak lock technology is subtle and considerate

    Cons:

They need to highlight more of these subtle differences

Probably the comfortable organic cotton pad out there. They also a leak lock technology that they aren't highlighting. It's a very delicate rim on the left and right sides that provide an extra lining to keep your period where it belongs.

  • Pros:

Really soft, comfortable, organic and toxin free!

    Cons:

Slightly more expensive than non-organic (which is usually the case so not a surprise)

I tried Rael products a few months ago and really like them. I was not expecting to be able to tell the difference in softness but actually did! These pads felt more soft than regular pads. I had no problems with the absorbency/leakage. Also liked that packaging was simple (that was my problem with Honest in that they had a ton of extra packaging for their liners). Worth the extra money for comfort and health. However, would like to know if there will be any other retail locations we can find rael outside of Amazon or Rael Website?

Thank you Ria for the submission! Hello fellow Product Hunter friends. Rael was created because the pads & tampons we use today are filled with toxins that are harmful to women's bodies. I couldn’t find a product in the US that was made with organic cotton and also was absorbent & comfortable enough. So my two other co-founders and I decided to go on a journey to create one. In fact, we launched our product on Amazon and immediately received orders and positive reviews. We’re now #1 in our category on Amazon and have recently launched our own eCommerce store to begin our growth journey. Every review has helped us improve each batch and help provide women a better experience with each period.

@yanghee_paik Thanks for sharing the journey so far, I was shocked to learn all about the toxins in Tampax I'd been putting in my body for years. About time organic options are available... could you tell us more about your relationship with suppliers / sourcing organic materials?

@abadesi Thanks for the note. Isn’t it crazy? Who knew big brand pads were made with ingredients like acetone and styrofoam? I was shocked to discover this as well. To answer your question, we use certified organic cotton sourced from Texas, which is known to house one of the cleanest and most sustainable practices in the world. We then ship our materials to our production facilities and test, test, test until the end-product is right--then we listen to customer feedback and improve continuously. Our pads, for example, are manufactured in South Korea using top-of-class technology (think K-Beauty but for periods). We take a lot of pride in our sourcing and production process. I think it’s what really sets us apart, even in the organic and wellness space.
