Woohoo! Product Hunt! We made Rabbut because we wanted to collect emails on our Medium. Medium is kick-ass to write on, but we wanted to get more than just followers out of it. Jon's been racking in huge email subscribes on Medium, so it definitely works well. Since then, we’ve expanded to also writing on LinkedIn, and pretty much ran into the same problem. The LinkedIn tool is super new, so we’re hoping to get feedback on how everyone may be using it, and where Rabbut can help :) Also, thanks for the Hunt @bramk!
@imhowardlo @bramk I think everyone want to collect emails on LinkedIn, it's just most people don't have a system to follow that will get them a consistent stream of emails....this is a great idea and I hope you can mention my PH https://www.producthunt.com/book... to help all those who want a fool-proof system that will HELP them take advantage of @rabbutmail
@imhowardlo @bramk @tiffanycsun @imjonathanlee @hellokatechan Hey guys - it's a great product. I tried LinkedIn, must say first I thought it's a real form!? That would have been stellar. But LinkedIn is a tough cookie. We're launching another LinkedIn lead gen tool today, would love to get your feedback guys. https://www.producthunt.com/post...
Thanks everyone for taking the time to check out Rabbut. Here's a live example of the subscription boxes on Medium and LinkedIn: Medium: https://45m.ph/how-fear-of-embar... LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/h... It's helped me collect over 1,000 emails personally on the above post alone that I otherwise wouldn't have. Thanks for looking!
@imjonathanlee so from the medium and linkedin example that you show, the product doesn't seem to do what this page is claiming. neither the medium nor linkedin posts above have a form embeded when I visit. They just show an image of a form that you click and it opens a link in a new tab.
I signed up for this to try to get a form on my medium blog, like they say they can. never worked.
@thejeremycarson Hey Jeremy, sorry to hear about that! Mind sending us an email at elmer@rabbut.com so we can figure this out for you? We've been using this form on our own Medium posts for a while now without any problems, so it might be an edge case scenario that we didn't account for. That, or our instructions weren't clear enough - either way, we're at fault and hope that you'll give us a chance to make things right. Email anytime, we'll be on standby. Thanks so much for trying Rabbut, Jeremy.
I thought there would be a form for submission embedded in LinkedIn pulse example post but it was only a clickable image that would take you to somewhere.
