Hi everyone! I’m the indie developer behind QuestMint. Like a lot of people, I struggled with the snooze button. I tried multiple alarms, habit apps, and “discipline” systems, but nothing really stuck. Eventually I realized the real problem: most habit apps rely on motivation, but humans respond much more strongly to loss aversion. So I built QuestMint around a simple idea. Every night you stake some of your in-app points for the next morning. If you wake up on time, you get them back plus bonuses. If you fail, you lose them. It’s inspired by behavioral economics (prospect theory) — losing something you already have tends to be more motivating than gaining something new. A few things inside the app: • Triple reward on success (return + fixed bonus + redistribution from failed users) • Party challenges (2–5 friends) and 1v1 duels • A customizable space where upgrades increase reward rates • A leveling system that unlocks new features over time The goal isn’t just another alarm app, but a game-like accountability system that makes waking up feel like a challenge.
