๐ŸŽˆ๐ŸŽˆ๐ŸŽˆ Hello Product Hunt! First of all, thank you @chrismessina ๐Ÿ™ for hunting Queeklee here on Product Hunt! And thank you @rrhoover for building this amazing community of builders, makers, and digital creatives here on PH! After more than a year in the works, I couldnโ€™t be more excited to finally share with the amazing Product Hunt community our baby ๐Ÿ‘ถ Queeklee! Built in Italy, Europe, and the US. Simply put, Queeklee is a new app for 1 second videos and polls. The idea ๐Ÿ’ก behind Queeklee is simple, almost virginal. With Queeklee, now available for iPhone, we wanted to go back to the origins of social media. No news whatsoever, real or fake. No audio. No filters. No fuss, just fun! ๐Ÿ“ธ The app allows users to create and share 1 second video loops, called queeks. ๐Ÿ Each queek is associated to 1 hashtag and 1 location. ๐Ÿ—บ The feed orders queeks by vicinity. ๐Ÿฟ The feed is not scrollable, rather the user swipes right or left to like or not like the queek and proceed to the next. ๐Ÿ—ณ The swipe is a gesture that many app users are very familiar with and that makes each queek an organic poll. So, why 1 second? Well, why not... After all our attention span is short. At 2.7 seconds, it's shorter than that of a fish ๐ŸŸ at 2.8 seconds. Remember the beginning of ๐Ÿฆ Twitter and ๐ŸŒฑ Vine? Twitter started the 140 character limit that allowed users to get smart with their tweets and get more creative. Then came Vine with 6 second videos. While Vine has forever goneโ€Šโ€”โ€Ševen after a try earlier this year to revitalize it with v2โ€Šโ€”โ€Šthe short videos were embraced by million of users that, to this day, want the app back. And today, with ๐Ÿคณ Instagram and ๐Ÿ‘ป Snapchat, we tap, tap, tap hundreds, if not thousands, of images and videos each day. At Queeklee we love hyper-short videos and we hope you'll do too. Start swiping through queeks and let us know what you think of Queeklee. Questions or feedback? ๐Ÿ˜˜ Weโ€™d love to hear from you! Cheers! Andreas and the Queeklee team
