Love the simplicity, @kahtaf :) Are you planning on a way to get information from multiple sources? Like it'd be cool if it searched technical terms from Wolfram Alpha and if I highlight a name of a song, it'd fetch me the lyrics from Genius etc. I can see that being a tool many would want to use!

@amrith Thank you! That's a great idea! I will certainly look into that for a future version :)

I enjoy the extension so far. Would you consider adding an option that removes the automatic pop-up in replace of a right-click action?

@kaliahaze1 Thanks for your suggestion. Seems like a very reasonable feature, I will look into it!

This feature is in the Kindle for ipad and I find it extremely useful when reading history books, so having this on a web page is one better

Could maybe do with a hotkey option, to avoid the accidental triggering.

Pros:

Nice design and functions well.

Cons:

Sometimes pops up when you don't want it to (usually due to accidentally highlighting something)

Appreciate the feedback! I'll be adding a right-click option to avoid those accidental triggers soon.

Hi Product Hunt! The idea for Qikipedia came to me as soon as I saw Wikipedia's new link summary feature. I thought this would be great to bring to any web page. It's a very simple (open source) Chrome extension and I'm really pleased with the way it turned out. Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions on how Qikipedia could be improved. Thanks for reading!
