Hello community !, My name's Carles and I am one of the cofounders of the the Punta app. The ultimate objective is to ease the digital nomad and traveller world. We feel very motivated because after 5 months: - we already have more 2K users in the app, and - we already have done our first meeting in Barcelona and it was a great success. Feel free to download it and let me know whether you like it ! Also if you don't!

Punta seems to be a nice way to get to know like-minded peaople. In my opinion it's hard nowadays to find nomads and get to know them in person as everything is more digital and we are more in that "digital" world. But I think Punta creates a perfect bridge to make it easy to find like-minded tech savy people . The design and UI look good @punta
Carles
@officialexaking Thank you so much Jim. Let us know if there are things you would like to improve or see in the app. We are small team, but very dedicated to make the social nomad life easier.

Can you be a digital nomad but your travel to just 2 places back and forth? 😏
Carles
@sentry_co I believe so if that cannot be done in the same day. What do u think ?;)
AndrΓ© J
@punta I like the nomad ethos. unfortunately traveling is more restricted than ever before in history πŸ™ƒ Glad my mum took me to 20 countries before I was 5 😬

Currently in Medellin. This looks awesome! My girlfriend and I will check it out and join the community. I went through the app flow and first thought is - i don't know how many people are in the area of Medellin (for my travel). it'd be great to have an excited indication of who is nearby and what they are up to? Something like that.

adding a few other points that may be useful. generally images were very slow to load, but once popped up were clear. I liked the UI - i think common interests and overlapping days is smart. Will reach out and see what happens :)
Carles
@matthewkirkham thank you Mathew for your comments. Answering your questions you can check who is nearby and then number of people around. I hope you find people to meet in the app. Still, right now there are roughly 2,1K nomads, but that will grow in the future. Regarding the pictures there could have been many reasons why it loaded slow, but theoretically we solved that problem. Let me know if you see more things to improve, take into account and to develop :)

Congrats for the launch! It is a captivating and beautifully designed product. Kudos to the inventive team behind it! Thanks for creating Punta for us digital nomads. I’m eager to give it a try! BYW, I love the name - Punta. Is there a story behind it?
Carles
@bonvisions Punta literally means in Spanish the tip Of something. For us it is the last part you need to meet someone. It could be the last mile in other contexts but a a resume: the tool to help you doing the last step on your nomad journey
Bon
@punta cool!
