PulzUp is a fitness RPG that turns your steps, calories, and workouts into damage in card battles. Fight quirky monsters, unlock loot, and progress by moving in real life. Built in 40 days for a hackathon, now in early access and looking for user feedback.
I’ve been using PulzUp for a 3 days now and honestly - it’s one of the few fitness apps that actually makes me want to move. Instead of boring step counters, you literally fight monsters with your activity. Every walk, run, or workout isn’t just numbers - it turns into damage, loot, and progression.
I love the door mechanic: you never know if you’ll get loot or a monster, and the battles feel surprisingly engaging for a fitness app. The consumables and gear system make it feel like an RPG, not just a tracker.
The Battle Pass is a cool touch too - tougher bosses and rare rewards keep me motivated. And the profile section with achievements and leaderboards gives that competitive spark, especially when comparing steps and calories with friends.
What I really like is how PulzUp works with any activity. Gym session? Counts. Swimming? Counts. Even dancing around the living room - yep, that counts too. It’s flexible and fun.
If I had to nitpick - I’d love to see even more variety in challenges and maybe faster updates with new bosses. But overall, PulzUp feels fresh, motivating, and honestly way more entertaining than any fitness app I’ve tried before.
Highly recommend if you want to make fitness feel less like a chore and more like a game.

📌
We built PulzUp in 40 days as a fitness RPG where your steps, calories, and workouts = battle damage. The core is live, and now we’re expanding it.
Next up: player challenges and custom training quests.
We’d love to hear what you think about the idea and the app itself - does it make fitness feel fun enough to keep coming back?

@hellomrv This is such a brilliant concept! 🚀 Turning steps, calories, and workouts into actual battle damage makes fitness feel like an adventure instead of a chore. I can totally see myself getting hooked on challenges and custom quests — it’s the kind of system that would keep me coming back daily just to see how far I can push my “character.”
The idea of fitness as an RPG feels both fun and motivating, and it’s exactly the kind of gamification I’ve been looking for. Can’t wait to see where you take PulzUp next!

I tried the game and I’m impressed — the design is beautiful, the animations feel smooth, and the performance is amazing!
It's great that this isn’t just another activity tracker – you actually use it to reap the rewards of your workouts. Extra motivation with zero extra effort, love it! Would be awesome to see the progress of the game character as well. Keep it up, Yaroslav!

@hypermodernist Appreciate the love! Yup, making workouts pay off in-game is the goal. And yes - leveling up your hero is coming soon.

Love how you turned fitness into an RPG! Makes me actually excited to move. Can’t wait for challenges and quests!
Fierce battles online depend on your personal skills and effort. That's legit!
I've just started using it, but already had so much fun. Hope they gonna improve dynamics and variety of mechanics.
Add some fun skins and let early birds get em for free. Another killer feature is to create teams and battle 3x3/5x5 during the week.
Anyway, cheers on making such an engaging app
