Thanks for the share Arteen! Hi Product Hunters! We're Jack Bogdan & Brooklyn Short, two designers living in Los Angeles. By day, I work as a Product Manager in the game industry, and Brooklyn works as an Architect. Prop/Art started as an object we designed for ourselves. We own a few art prints, but we couldn't afford to get them framed, and didn't have enough to spice up our empty walls. Instead, we looked to the art we love but have hidden away in our library. Prop/Art turned our record and comic collection into something we touch and play with every day. It's our "now" section. It's taken us a year to go from first sketches to prototypes to design to patent pending to manufacturing samples. We couldn't be more excited for you all to check it out and get your hands on one (or a few) and see it up close. We use it every day and hope you will too!
@jack_bogdan Simple and elegant product, only issue is the shipping is a bit crazy for something that looks pretty light and small. Makes it hard to drop some cash on this.
@sicnarftea Thanks! We tried to keep the cost on shipping as low as we could without putting the product at risk. Every package will have to-door tracking so nobody has their Prop/Art lost in the abyss of a shipping network! We're acutely aware of how expensive the international shipping rates are, but we wanted to include as many people as we could who wanted a unit. We're working on finding a regional distributor to keep the costs down in the future!
