Save, tag, and organize prompts in collections, then press ⌘⌥P to instantly insert them into any app on your Mac.

Prompt Library
Hey Product Hunt, I’m the maker of Prompt Library.
I built this because I kept losing my “perfect prompt” between ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini and random notes. Prompt Library is a clean place to save what works, organize it with tags + collections, and pull it back instantly with ⌘⌥P.
The core workflow:
Save prompts you want to reuse
Organize with collections + tags
Press ⌘⌥P to open the launcher, search, and insert a prompt into whatever app you’re using
Pricing:
Download Free Trial (.dmg): save up to 8 prompts
Buy Full App: $6.35 one-time, unlimited prompts (no subscription)
A few details:
• Offline-first: everything is stored locally on your Mac (no accounts, no cloud)
• Model-agnostic: works with any AI tool since it’s just prompt storage + insertion
• Copy formats: raw text, markdown fenced blocks, JSON, and more
• Sort prompts by recently used, recently updated or alphabetical
I’d love your feedback on what would make this even faster or more useful. If you try it, tell me what your “must-have” features are.

@dario_pironi Thanks for the feedback! And good idea, let me add the favorite feature and push the update!

@dario_pironi Here it is!
@martin_baudin
The ⌘⇧P shortcut is a brilliant touch — feels like a natural extension of the IDE workflow. I've been building an AI-powered app and constantly find myself rewriting the same prompts across different tools.
Being able to tag and organize them in collections would save me so much context-switching.
Prompt Library
@go_sakioka Sure! Hope you'll enjoy the app which does exactly that 🙂
Starnus
Love the concept, I think we would need a similar approach in Starnus too + a good prompt builder

@german_merlo1 Thanks!
Dirac
Is there any way for me to not have to write the prompt and off-load the prompting for ai to make it in real time whenever I need to use it?
Prompt Library
@peterz_shu Prompt Library (for now) doesn't use any LLM in the background to meta-prompt your own prompts. But that's a good suggestion, thanks!
