Project managers and controls teams spend hours every week manually analyzing schedules, calculating EVM metrics in spreadsheets, and trying to spot risks buried in thousands of tasks. By the time problems surface in status meetings, they've already caused delays and cost overruns. The real pain points: - Schedule analysis is manual and slow - Exporting to Excel, building pivot tables, calculating CPI/SPI by hand - Risks hide until it's too late - Critical path issues, resource conflicts, and logic errors go unnoticed in complex schedules - Portfolio visibility is fragmented - Executives can't see which projects are truly healthy vs. which are masking problems - EVM expertise is scarce - Many teams know they should track earned value but don't have dedicated analysts -- 1. Started with schedule parsing - The first challenge was reliably importing P6 XER, MS Project XML, and Excel schedules. Each format has quirks. We built parsers that handle real-world messy data, not just textbook examples. 2. Added automated EVM calculations - Instead of expecting users to enter BCWS/BCWP/ACWP manually, we calculate earned value metrics directly from schedule data—percent complete, baseline vs. actual dates, costs from resource assignments. 3. Built AI analysis on top - Once we had structured schedule data, we could feed it to AI for pattern recognition. The AI identifies issues like missing logic, unrealistic durations, and resource overloads that would take an expert hours to find manually. 4. Expanded to portfolio view - Individual project health wasn't enough. We added organization-wide dashboards showing aggregated metrics, cross-project resource allocation, and trend analysis over time. 5. Made resources first-class citizens - The latest evolution: automatically importing resources from P6 schedules and building staffing forecasts to answer "do we have the right people at the right time?" The through-line: reduce the time from "data exists" to "insight delivered" from days to seconds.

This tackles a real pain for project and controls teams. Too much time is spent manually analyzing schedules and spotting issues after it is already too late. Turning schedules into real time health dashboards feels very valuable. Congrats on the launch.

@ngocphuc_1910 Thanks so much! That's exactly the problem we lived through ourselves. Staring at Gantt charts trying to spot what's slipping, then scrambling when it's already a crisis. The goal with ProjectPulse is to make that pain disappear—AI does the analysis, you make the decisions. Really appreciate you checking it out!

Automating schedule parsing and calculating EVM directly from real project data feels like the right foundation — especially handling messy P6 and MS Project files. At SecureSlate, we’ve seen how automation and visibility surface risks earlier and reduce manual effort. This could be a big win for PMs and execs who need clarity fast

Edward Gerber

@nirvaya1 Thank you! You nailed it—the schedule parsing is foundational. We spent a lot of time handling the edge cases in real P6/MSP exports because that's where most EVM tools fall apart. Love what you're building at SecureSlate—visibility and automation go hand in hand. When teams aren't buried in manual work, they actually have time to act on what they see.

Hey Edward @edward_gerber ,

Congrats on the launch of ProjectPulseAI! It sounds like an awesome tool for project managers, especially with the real-time health dashboards and AI-powered risk detection.

Just curious, how's the response been so far? What kind of marketing strategies are you focusing on to promote the product? Would love to hear how you're planning to get the word out!

Edward Gerber

@mfarhan1107 Hey, thanks so much for the kind words! 🙏

  Response has been really encouraging.

For marketing, we're keeping it pretty grassroots right now:

  1. LinkedIn - Sharing real use cases and pain points (EVM without spreadsheets resonates hard 😅)

  2. Industry communities - Construction PM forums, government contractor groups where DCMA compliance matters

  3. Content - Writing about earned value management for people who hate earned value management

  4. Word of mouth - Honestly our best channel so far. PMs talk to PMs.

We just shipped a weather risk feature too - automatically flags risks for outdoor work based on forecast. That one's been fun to demo.

What about you - any marketing channels you've seen work well for B2B tools? Always looking to learn!
