Most portfolio advice is generic — built for US devs, not Indian CS students targeting product companies or service giants. ProjectPilot gives you 5 tailored project ideas based on your skills and target role. Each idea comes with a step-by-step build guide, prerequisites, and interview questions — so you don't just build something, you can defend it in a room. Built by a final-year MCA student who was tired of the same todo app advice.

@aryan_damai Congrats on the launch! 🎉 Love that you're solving a very specific problem instead of giving everyone the same generic project ideas. Curious—how do you personalize recommendations for someone targeting product companies versus service-based roles?
@nicole_hynek Thanks! Great question.
The personalization happens at the prompt level, when you select
your target role (product vs service company), that context gets
passed to the AI with a structured prompt that adjusts the
complexity and relevance of the output.
For product companies, it leans toward system design-heavy projects,
scalability decisions, and "why did you choose X over Y" type depth.
For service roles, it focuses more on domain knowledge, integration
work, and client-facing features.
The goal is that the project idea + deep dive feels like it was
written specifically for that interview room, not just generic advice
repackaged.
