Hey everyone! I’m thrilled to share that Project Aqua launches today 🎉

It’s a free iOS app we’ve been building at Adobe to help kids and parents explore creativity together through playful activities that build creative confidence. The activities help kids develop new capabilities, discover different ways to make art, and collect and display their work along the way.

What we’re excited about:
Totally free, no ads or upsells — a safe and intentional space for kids to create.
Paper-to-digital flow — kids can draw on paper, photograph it, and continue creating in the app.
Creative Islands — on Fashion Island, kids can design their own fashion lines and bring them to life; Superhero Rock is full of inspiration for creating comics; and on 3D Dunes, kids can visualize their flat drawings in 3D and place them in their room using augmented reality.

If you’re a parent, teacher, designer, or just someone who cares about creativity, we’d love your thoughts:
• What feature would you love to see next?

Thanks for checking it out and please leave a review on the Apple App Store to show support!

We can’t wait to see what kids create. 💙

As a developer on Project Aqua, I can honestly say this has been one of the most fun and meaningful projects I’ve worked on. We set out to make an app that inspires creativity in kids, and it’s a joy to see them light up when they create something new. This launch means a lot to us, and we’d love your thoughts and feedback!

Hope you and your families enjoy it as much as we’ve enjoyed making it 🩵

Love it. Congrats. Lovely illustration and branding. I'll check it out for my kids. So over Roblox. I'm a designer as well plus working on an education platform for kids, so would love to keep you all in mind, check back and connect in the future.

Hi everyone!
I'm the Product Lead on Project Aqua and I'm soooo excited about our launch!
Every product has a backstory, so here's the one for Aqua in case you're curious. I came up with a variant of this idea a few years ago: an app to scan my kids' paper drawings and showcase them in an online museum. As my kids grew older, they started using our family iPad to consume media and I thought... there must be a way to make screen time more meaningful! This sentiment resonated with many at Adobe, and we eventually were able to get resources to build a creative app with Adobe's powerful technology, but simple and intuitive enough for a young kid to use and enjoy.

We built it for our own kids and we're now sharing it with everyone!

Looking forward to hearing more from you all, and from your kids/nieces/nephews/neighbors/etc. :)

PS. our small and mighty team is the best!
