Price Per Token offers an easy UI to compare the pricing, latency and all other important features you need to know about when selecting an LLM for a use case. It also offers a growing suite of free tools to help as you develop AI apps including an MCP to connect Claude Code and Cursor with all of our pricing and benchmark data and a playground to compare LLM outputs. You also can sign up for Price Per Token's newsletter to stay up-to-date on major changes in LLM API pricing and capabilities.
Hey there! I built Price Per Token as I found when I was building AI into my own apps I would struggle to determine how picking a model would impact the margin of my business. It is incredible how different the pricing on these APIs can be- one model may be 10 times cheaper than another and work just as well for your use case as the more expensive option!
Additionally, the prices frequently change and new models are made available every week, so it was important to have an up-to-date source that always had fresh data. That is why the main page for Price Per Token is just a simple table of all the major LLM's and their prices per 1M tokens with 3 popular benchmarks.
I was surprised when it gained some traction on Hacker News and the support I got from there encouraged me to build out some free tools to add some more utility. The two major ones are an MCP that allows you to connect Claude Code and Cursor to all of our data and then a playground where you can enter in a user and system prompt and compare up to 4 different model outputs.
