Prebake is a new Open Source project that turns bare Kubernetes clusters into Developer Platforms in two commands. The goal is to help developers focus on building apps instead of becoming experts in every infrastructure component. It includes ArgoCD, Cert Manager, Cilium, Traefik, Sealed Secrets, and more - all configured with sensible defaults. Just two commands to deploy - officially supported on Kind or AWS EKS - though any bare Kubernetes cluster should work. Apache 2.0 license.

Having been through the process of 'starting fresh' with a Kubernetes cluster many times, I wanted to provide an option for folks who don't want to spend weeks or months digging into Helm charts and documentation to make hundreds of decisions. Prebake is a culmination of years of experience setting up particular configurations only to find out X component does not support Y feature we need for running production systems. From CNAME support in your NetworkPolicy, to regex quirks in Ingress Controllers - Prebake has it covered. Congrats on the launch and brilliant idea! Yes, deployment can be quite complex and time-consuming, and the long learning curve often leads to mistakes.
