Powermove is an iterative video editor that rewrites itself around your work. Ask an agent to add or fork panels, effects, and workflows, then load them into the running app. If it is wrong, steer it and try again. Every change can be undone.
Astra made the editor itself part of the creative loop. In Powermove, it can inspect the running app, write a new panel or effect, fork an existing tool, compile the change, hot-load it, inspect the result, and repair it. The changed tool immediately becomes part of the next pass. That was not practical with a slower model or a workflow split across code, builds, and exports.
The same loop reaches into the video. Astra can inspect the live composition, make typed edits, render real frames, and repair the result while I steer or keep editing by hand. Project edits share normal Undo; alternate directions can be saved as Takes; extension changes retain previous versions for recovery.
The point is not merely that an agent can edit video. It is that the software can adapt to the person using it. After a month, your editor can be one nobody else has.
Software usually ships finished. Someone else decides what the buttons are, where the panels go, and what the tool can do. You get a copy and adapt to it.
Powermove is our attempt to reverse that. It is a video editor that can rewrite itself around your work. Ask an agent for a new panel, a different timeline, an effect, or a better workflow. It writes the code, loads it into the running app, and shows you. If it is wrong, steer it and try again. The change stays inspectable and undoable.
Agents can edit the video too: they can inspect the live project, change layers and keyframes, render frames, and repair the result. But the bigger idea is iterative software. The editor you have after a month should be one nobody else has.
Powermove is free, open source, and built for Apple silicon Macs. We would love to know what you would change if your software could change with you.

Congrats on the launch! Really love how clean and intuitive the interface looks. What's currently next on the product roadmap?

@noor_alam20 hey noor, thanks! we'll probably introduce cloud based features for collaboration and extension sharing soon. stay tuned!
Before I jump in I'd want to know how you define this. Is it closer to an Adobe Premiere replacement or a CapCut replacement, or somewhere in between?
Powermove
@justin_rockmore I'd say closer to a Premiere/AE replacement depending on what you use it for
