Damian Krychowski
👋 Hey Product Hunt community! I'm Damian, the creator of PlikShare. Let me share why I built this tool. In 2023, while working on an educational platform, I found myself drowning in file-sharing chaos. I was coordinating with 20+ freelance video editors, and everyone had their own way of sending files - WeTransfer links that expired too soon, direct messages on different platforms, email attachments, and various cloud storage links. It was a nightmare keeping track of everything! I needed something that would: - Let people upload files without creating accounts - Keep uploads private between different contributors - Not charge me per team member (I just needed storage!) - Give me full control over my data Existing solutions either didn't quite fit or were too complex to navigate. That's when I decided to build PlikShare - a self-hosted file sharing solution that puts simplicity and control first. Key features: - Bi-directional file sharing (both sending AND receiving) - Pay for the license (once) and host it on your own infrastructure - Full control through self-hosting - Simple, intuitive interface - Anonymous upload links - Flexible permission system PlikShare is perfect for teams who: - Work with external collaborators frequently - Need a simple way to collect files from multiple sources - Want to own their infrastructure - Are tired of per-seat pricing - Value privacy and data control I'd love to hear your thoughts and answer any questions! What file-sharing challenges do you face in your work?
