Let's be honest. Many people might not want to publicly admit they are hooked on these 1-minute "soap operas," but this format is undeniable.
It makes perfect sense for TikTok to launch a dedicated app for it.
Unlike other platforms that often charge heavy fees, PineDrama is currently free and ad-free. TikTok is simply removing the friction to capture the audience first.
It turns "doomscrolling" into "story-scrolling." Call it a guilty pleasure or the future of TV, this format is here to stay🍿
@zaczuo Hi Zac, congrats on the launch. Can't say I understand it myself but it seems that long stories in short form have become increasingly popular. I'm presuming it will eventually be ad supported and I see that as an interesting new channel opportunity.
