Pick Up started from a frustration I kept running into.
I'd get really into a book, then life would get busy. When I came back weeks later, I felt completely out of sync with it. I couldn't remember what I had been thinking or feeling at that point in the story. It felt like starting over every time.
Most reading apps focus on tracking progress. I wanted something that captured the experience while reading.
Pick Up lets you record quick voice thoughts as you read, transcribed into text, helping you reconnect with your own headspace when you return to a book. Over time, those reflections build into a personal reading journal.
This launch has been a long journey of refining the idea from a simple tracker into a voice-first companion for deeper reading.
