What inspired you to build this?
I grew frustrated by the amount of advertising and non-photo content other platforms pushed onto users.

What problem were you trying to solve?
I solved these problems by making my own platform, while adding features other platforms were missing. Such as uploading photos with varying aspect ratios, showing a mini photo gallery on each individual post, and extracting relevant camera metadata for aspiring photographers to learn from.

How did your approach or process evolve while working on this launch?
Initially, I focused on an ad-free, privacy focused platform. While I have kept these goals, I refined the user experience and tried to focus on quality-of-life features.

Phofee feels like a refreshing return to what photo sharing should be about. An ad free experience that respects privacy and focuses purely on photography is very appealing. Love the attention to aspect ratios and metadata. Congrats on the launch.
