Two years ago, my long-time co-founder and I started asking ourselves why the “starving artist” was a concept so many were familiar with. As we bought our first homes and looked to fill them with art, the question of where and how to buy art wasn’t easily answered. We were frustrated that ultra-high-net-worth collectors could buy and sell art with ease while the majority of us didn’t have access to the same flexibility. Today, we’re excited to launch Peggy—the social marketplace to buy and sell investment-grade art. Our vision is simple: a world with art in every home. Peggy is for the art-curious and the art-expert. We’re a community of artists, galleries, and collectors. Peggy is powered by our patent-pending digital fingerprint—AI technology that authenticates artwork, creates a chain of custody, and enables royalties for artists on the secondary market. Peggy is currently invite-only to ensure the best experience possible for all collectors and to be able to give galleries the opportunity to respond to all offers.
