Thanks, @doerrfeldbill for hunting us, I know you like your APIs :) Hello everyone! I’m Tanel, one of the makers of PDF Generator API, and we have been trying to solve the document generation problem for SaaS products for some time. I’m super excited to launch on Product Hunt finally. I’ve worked as a developer for different document-heavy products (e.g. accounting, task management, ERP, e-commerce etc.) where end-users needs to generate hundreds of documents each day for sending them via email or to print out. I’ve spent countless hours building, and polishing report, invoice and other printout templates as the customer have required a bit more tweaking on the layout, or they have changed their mind in the middle of development. You can manage this process through the development cycle if you have a handful of customers. Still, when we have thousands of users who require customized documents, it is not efficient to manage the process through the development cycle. Would it be easier if the user or support could quickly solve it without making a development request? Here steps in PDF Generator API which allows you to easily generate transactional PDF documents and reduce the development and support costs. You can enable your users to create and manage their document templates using a browser-based drag-and-drop document editor. PDF Generator API also fits nicely into the no-code and low-code applications to solve the document generation needs. For example, the Wix community already sees a lot of value. We will have interesting news on the no/low-code front coming out soon, so stay tuned! As we are an API product, then we tried to put a lot of effort into the API documentation to increase the developer experience. We are using @OpenApiSpec to generate code samples in multiple languages and @Redocly to make the documentation look good and easily navigable. If you have any feedback on the product or developer experience, please don’t hesitate to comment below :)
Congratulations! It's always a pain to work with PDFs
