PatchWalk turns exploration into a game: pick a color, fill a grid, and create a unique collage. Features that make it stand out: [Group Quests]: Host collaborative hunts with unique colors for each player. [Color Splash]: A specialized filter highlighting your target color in B/W. [Timer]: Optional time limits for those who like to race the clock. [Real-time Only]: No gallery imports - every photo must be captured in the moment. [Privacy-First]: No accounts or cloud storage; photos stay local.

Hey everyone! I’m the developer of PatchWalk, a small app I built to make ordinary walking outdoors feel like a mini game.
The core idea:
Pick one color (like red, blue, yellow, etc.) + a grid size (like 3×3 or 4×4). Then you go for a walk and fill the grid by taking photos that include that color.
When the grid is full, you end up with a collage that you can share.
It's also can be especially fun when doing it with someone else - each person picks a different color, and you both hunt for different objects along the same route. So it can provide a perfect activity to have fun with friends or for an outdoor date.
Unlike other collage-making apps, here users are intentionally not allowed to pick images from their gallery. This constraint ensures every scavenger hunt is an authentic, real-time challenge, forcing to look up at the world instead of down at their camera roll.
The core flow is available in free version.
I’d really appreciate feedback on:
- Is the core concept appealing enough that you’d try it at least once?
- Any instant red flags (too many steps, unclear rules, UX issues)?
Honest, blunt feedback is welcome.
