As the coronavirus known as COVID-19 swept across our country, so did fear. Imagine needing to visit a hospital twice a week to receive chemotherapy during the pandemic. Hi, I’m Gwen and I work at a cancer research facility. The idea for ParkingLotCheckIn.com came to me when a patient arrived for her chemotherapy treatment. The patient was too nervous to sit in the waiting room with other patients who might unknowingly have COVID-19. The patient wanted to wait for her appointment in her car. The patient asked the nurse to text her when it was time for her treatment. The nurse wrote her name and phone number on a sticky note. Imagine this happening 50 times an hour. Huge potential for errors, confusion and sticky notes all over the place! ParkingLotCheckIn.com helps businesses create a safe environment and promote social distancing.
