I built Pane because I was drowning in tabs. I’m the kind of person who keeps 50 tabs open "just in case" but then can never find what I need. Chrome’s native bookmark manager always felt buried in menus and stuck in the past. I wanted my New Tab page to be a workspace, not just a search bar. I wanted something that felt like a fresh start every time I opened it - clean, dark-themed, and calm. The main feature I built for myself is the Open Tabs Sidebar. I hated the friction of hitting Cmd+D and selecting folders. With Pane, I just drag my open tabs directly into a folder. It’s saved, synced across my devices, and I can finally close that tab. It’s privacy-focused (no tracking, no external servers), customizable, and built to be the tool I actually want to use every day. Hope it helps you tame your browser chaos too!
