I'm excited to share Palmier with you today: a trip planning app I built after one too many chaotic group trip planning experiences.
The Story:
Last year, I was planning a trip with 5 friends. We were using WhatsApp for chat, Tricount for expenses, and Google Sheets for the itinerary.
Tricount worked fine for splitting bills, but here's the thing: it's ONLY for expenses. We still needed WhatsApp to discuss what dates we should choose, where to go, what to book and Google Sheets to plan and track the itinerary. I was constantly switching between apps, and information was scattered everywhere. Someone would suggest a housing in WhatsApp, I'd add it to Google Sheets if we agreed, then we'd track the expense in Tricount - three different apps for one decision!
I thought: "There has to be a better way. Why can't everything be in one place?" So I built Palmier: an app that does what Tricount does for expenses, but also handles itinerary planning, group chat, and travel journaling. All in one app.
