@joshdance Hi Joshua! I've made it with one of my co-worker at OpenDataSoft as a side project :) Here is a blog post explaining the whole project : Basically the whole map thing is just a widget plugged on our data API so it's always up-to-date. And the data are, for know, updated by hand when somebody give us some feedback or want to correct something. Since the beggining we've received tons of emails/online form answer, asking us to add a portal / correct some mistake. Finally to have the data always up-to-date with every portals in the world for everybody, we plan to work with the open data community to improve open data portals meta-data. We've already done a webinar about it and the whole video/explanations will be available soon (like next week). Don't hezitate if you have any other questions :D

@joshdance Hi Joshua, thanks for the comment! As Nicolas said, the map is just some (a lot) elbow grease, some open source widgets running on Angular and APIs! :) The list Nicolas linked to also runs with this these widgets, so it's always up-to-date. :)
