When my husband and I decided to start building our family, I started doing everything right. I peed on every stick I could get my hands on, I took my body temperature at the same time every morning, and I used every fertility tracking app. Luckily, I conceived my son after 18 months but those were the most devastating months of my life. The worst part was I didn’t learn anything about my cycle. I found that the tools I was using were hardwired for a woman that had a “normal” 28-day cycle, and that just wasn’t me. I realized that if I knew how my hormones were behaving, I would know exactly where I was in my cycle and I would know what to do and when to do it. This is where the idea of Oova was born. Today, Oova is the only at-home tool that accurately measures two key fertility hormones - luteinizing hormone and progesterone - in urine and tracks this information over time. The entire platform is completely personalized as we do not compare a woman’s data to a standard threshold. We capture each woman’s unique hormone baseline levels and detect fluctuations in her hormones by comparing to that. Oova is able to identify a woman’s most fertile days and confirm that ovulation occurred in a particular cycle. In addition, if a woman is working with an Oova provider, her hormone data can be synced with their clinician’s dashboard to enable them to view her data in real time. Our goal is to empower women with information about their fertility, hormones and body. Oova enables a woman, her body, and her clinician to all have the same conversation. Please note: We can only ship within the US at the moment.

Wow! It looks great. Never seen tools like this before — hope it could help lots of women all around the world. Are you planning to ship them internationally? And I also do not understand if you need to the test every day or not?

@rusyasurkova Thanks for your question! We do have plans to ship internationally, hopefully very soon! You do not need test everyday. Oova comes with 15 test strips and our app/algorithm will tell you which days to use a test. It’s fully personalized for you based on your menstrual cycle.
