Hi guys!โœŒ Ever wondered how many people travel every day? And how many deliveries goes in the same direction? @nivi_jasa This is great! That's something lots of people are already doing informally, so there's definitely a market. I'm curious how you handle custom charges?
Nivi Jasa
Hi @anthilemoon , exactly! ๐Ÿค“ We are offering, through our platform, a more safe and reliable environment, facilitating the match between the two users, which are responsible for any possible custom charge.

@nivi_jasa Hi Nivi! I love this animation, could you please send me a contact to a person/agency that made it? Thanks!
Nivi Jasa
@aga_jaskiewicz sure! The Workroom | Alessandro Barzaghi www.workroom.it and info@workroom.it

@nivi_jasa @workroom Thanks a lot!

I thought about this concept for a while as well, however I just couldn't find a way to verify trustworthy people. I see onPony uses other services as trust-verification method, but I still keep thinking: What if a traveler decides to keep the object? That'd be theft, I know, but for me - mostly shipping (expensive) gadgets - I don't know whether I would take the risk. Giving my laptop to a stranger and hoping that he/she will deliver it is still quite something... (But if this does work, safely, nice product! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป)
Nivi Jasa
Hi @alexandercitt and thanks for arising these questions. The truth is that, every user, or especially the one you'll use to deliver your item, should be someone that you trust. You trust because they linked their PayPal account and they had previous feedback, coming from onPony or other services. No one would ever ruin his/her online reputation for a laptop (we hope that!) since it's through this reputation that, so far, they saved money while using all these services. A bad feedback today means no more feedback tomorrow. Immagine if you have a terrible feedback on Airbnb. No one would ever, probably, book an apartment or host you ๐Ÿ™ You'll be simply out of this economy. Plus, if you don't deliver the item you won't get payed for the delivery. And instead, if you are a Customer and not a Pony, you can always sue them, since you have their Name Surname, email, mobile number and possibly a social verification (LinkedIn perhaps) that can help to identify them. On the other side, we are also going to integrate an ID verification and add an insurance for the deliveries. So the key element is to build a safe environment in order to have a trustworthy network of users โœŒ
Alexander
@nivi_jasa Good points. Social network linking is indeed already quite a nice way to gain trust. ID verification (by onPony) would do it for me. Especially if something would happen then onPony would be able to help me file a police report. Thanks for the nice product, keep it up!

Cheers @alexandercitt ๐Ÿ‘‹

Very cool - what routes are most popular? Spent a few minutes looking between the major hubs (NY, SF, LA, Boston) and didn't see any packages.
Nivi Jasa
Hello @nickabouzeid !โœŒ We are London based, and so far, our main traction came from the EU nations (mostly Uk, Spain and Italy). The website is online since 3 months and currently we are focusing our marketing efforts in the EU. Hopefully soon in the US!! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ
Nick Abouzeid
@nivi_jasa Ahh, can't wait for you to expand!
Nivi Jasa
@nickabouzeid me too!! ๐Ÿ˜„

Clever idea, particularly with parents in Canada (I'm in Australia) I can relate to the challenge of sending small things... But, I can't help thinking that this is essentially "uber for drug mules".
Nivi Jasa
Hi @rossdcurrie and thank you for the feedback! There's a risk and we are trying to reduce it and lower it down, thanks to our platform and community. The best way to protect our users is to build a proper, well-educated, and trustful community with a reliable product/service. By verifying the users through their email, mobile number, PayPal account, and by linking their account from Facebook, Airbnb, and BlaBlaCar - you can easily check their previous feedback and behaviours. All this verifications will help you and the other user to use the service in a more safe environment.
