Hi Product Hunt community,

I’m Audree, the creator of OnlineResources.org.

I built this after experiencing—personally and repeatedly—how hard it is to find reliable grief and loss resources online when you’re already overwhelmed. Most directories are static lists that slowly decay. I wanted to see if we could do better.

I’ve spent 45+ years as a software engineer and technical leader, and after stepping away from corporate work, I decided to apply those skills to nonprofit projects that genuinely help people. OnlineResources.org (my second project) is my attempt to combine modern AI techniques with human judgment, compassion, and community trust—without ads, paywalls, or monetization pressure.

For those interested in the technical side of how this works (AI discovery, automated maintenance, and why this isn’t “just another directory”), I’ve written two short LinkedIn articles that go deeper. I’ll link them in a follow-up comment so they don’t distract from the product itself.

I’m open to any feedback—especially from people who would have benefited from a resource like this, or from builders thinking about how AI can be used responsibly in nonprofit work. Thank you for checking out my passion project.

For anyone interested in more technical info behind OnlineResources.org, I’ve written two short LinkedIn articles while building it as a solo developer. They go deeper into the architecture and some of the design tradeoffs around using AI responsibly in a nonprofit context:

• Building an ethical, agentic loop for grief resource discovery

• What it’s like to build a major system solo—with AI as a collaborator

Just sharing for folks who enjoy the behind-the-scenes details or are thinking about how AI can be applied thoughtfully outside of commercial products.
