Back in 2013, Omate raised over $1M on Kickstarter with the launch of the Omate TrueSmart. Since then, they've launched new products, been backed by 500startups and partnered with other brands to hit up the high end wearable market. The Omate Rise promises to be an interesting product. In its' first day, it has raised over 455% of its goal, with a total of $136,444 so far and counting! Omate is using Indiegogo as a Flash Sales platform this time around, so it will only be available for another 45 hours. If you want this beauty, you better move fast!

How could they possibly set a goal of $30,000 and expect to design, build and deliver this?

@joshuapinter the project was launched internally 4 months ago, the $30,000 was only aimed to add the carbon fiber bezel feature (tooling and dev), that's why we launched a flash two day crowdfunding campaign. This is not a typical 30 to 60 day campaign; if we failed, we would not have added that carbon fiber bezel but the project would still have been launched without it.

@llepen Oh, okay. Thanks for the reply. I haven't see IndieGoGo used to back enhancements to an already existing product before. Looks like it worked, though! Watch looks great, best of luck!
