Okay Dev

👋🏻 Hi Product Hunt community! Traditionally, developers have had to share their work on platforms made for designers. Our visibility has often depended on referrals and winning awards. I set out to change this by creating Okay Dev, a dedicated platform for discovering and promoting the talents of creative developers. Okay Dev started in 2018 as a private Slack workspace, born from my decision to pursue full-time freelancing. Working from home can be isolating, so I wanted to connect with others who had similar skills and experiences. I invited creative developers I admired, and they, in turn, invited their colleagues. This led to the formation of a close-knit group of friends. Many of us have met in person and even collaborated on projects. Now, I aim to bring that same sense of camaraderie to the wider industry through the Okay Dev community. Currently, we are in an invite-only beta as I work on enhancing features and understanding user needs. We will soon be opening registration to all creatives during special events.
