    Pros:

Basic Dive Log and my pics, I get to find other places to dive via dive of the week posts, and they care about the state of our oceans.

    Cons:

Find a way for DM's and Instructors to verify dives. This way they will promote the app to their divers and you grow your community.

I have been using this app for around 3 years now, the new version looks fantastic. I love to see the photos posted from all around the world and when Ive had to engage with the developers they have always been prompt and super helpful.

  • Pros:

    Beautiful layout

    Cons:

Makes me want to quit my job & go diving

The pics have opened up a whole new awareness for me of life underwater

Haven't hunted anything in a while but still enjoy seeing the community growing <3 I'm happy to be back to show you Oceans 2.0 They are creating a social network for suba divers and people who love exploring oceans. Even though I'm really not into suba diving, I really love the design of their app :) They are based in Stockholm. @jmy can you tell us about this big update of Oceans?

Hi @gregoiregilbert, and thanks for hunting! Oceans was built to help scuba divers connect and share their adventures in logs. With this release and going forward, our mission is to make the underwater world universal accessible to anyone. Together with our divers, we collect vast amounts of data, imagery and observations, and we want to use that to visualise the oceans to everyone. In 2.0, we’re also adding environmental reporting, to map some of the problems facing marine habitats. We have a big roadmap for the future of this effort. We are also trilled to announce that oceanographer, filmmaker and TED speaker, Fabien Cousteau is joining the Oceans Team! #DiveoftheYear, Oceans’ yearly grand prize award, will be presented by Fabien in early 2018. The winner is selected from the stunning imagery created by our users, highlighted every weekend in Oceans. Highlights and winners are published on Oceans’ social media currently reaching over 40,000 ocean champions. Have a look at our Instagram: http://instagram.com/oceans_app We’re happy to answer any questions!
