Nutriqs.ai: The Maker’s Manifesto The Fundamental Flaw in Health-Tech (and why we fixed it) We are launching Nutriqs.ai because we believe the foundational premise of modern health applications is broken. They treat human nutrition like a cold, isolated math problem. You manually log data, you calculate calories, and you inevitably feel guilty, leading to the predictable 80%+ dropout rate that plagues the industry. Health is not just biology; it is psychology and community. Without those two elements, your product is just a digital spreadsheet destined to fail. Our core mission is to turn the chore of tracking into the pleasure of connecting. The Technical Flex: Solving the Unsolvable Meal The technical challenge for food analysis is accuracy, especially with complex, regional, and unstructured dishes. Can the AI distinguish between a generic "stew" and an authentic Cooked White Rice with Curry Duck? Our AI-Food Scan, powered by a Google Full-Stack, does exactly that. It provides instant, accurate nutritional breakdowns and even assesses the level of Ultra-Processed Foods (UPFs) via the NOVA Score. We didn't launch in Silicon Valley. We started in Suriname and the Netherlands because we needed a crucible—markets with high mobile adoption but incredibly rich, uncatalogued food cultures (from Parbo Bier to Jambu Air). If we can solve for Surinamese Pom and Dutch Stamppot, we can scale globally. The Behavioral Engine: Meet AI Cindy Beyond the image recognition, our real value lies in the behavioral science layer: AI Cindy. She’s your personal nutritional coach, built on frameworks designed to foster positive habit loops. She doesn’t judge your meal choices; she helps you build sustainable habits. For instance, instead of just seeing a high-carb meal, you get an insight like: "This meal aligns with your habit loops—pair it with a 15-minute walk to manage the glucose curve." This supportive, personalized feedback is the secret to high retention. The Social Health Network Nutriqs.ai is fundamentally a Social Health Network. We're integrating the proven network effects of platforms like Strava and Instagram, but focused on nutrition. Gamified Community: Your meal snap becomes a story that friends can engage with. Viral Challenges: Participate in fun, short-term challenges (e.g., "7-Day Whole Foods Challenge") to leverage social accountability and drive adoption. Rewards: We reward engagement and healthy consistency, not just calorie restriction. This approach ensures that every user is connected, motivated, and supported, solving the isolation problem that kills engagement in legacy health apps. Help Us Iterate This is a partially functional MVP. We are launching early on Product Hunt and Hacker News to pressure-test our core utility and get crucial, unfiltered feedback from the world’s best builders. Test the Webapp now at nutriqs.ai. (Download it to your mobile homescreen for the best experience.) Please help us make health social and sustainable by sharing your honest feedback: (A) What feature excites you the most (e.g., AI image analysis or AI Cindy chat or social challenges?) (B) What feature is absolutely engaging for daily use/technically solid? (C) What feature does not add value or has bugs? Let’s build healthier communities together!

We scanned a fruit to find out if it is UPF. Well it is clearly not...

Anyone testing?

Update 12/17/2025: We're currently testing nutriqs with Gemini 3 Flash as AI layer. Results are shockingly accurate for Surinamese meals. Even the AI-nutritionist advice feels more genuine.

Go test it Product Hunters! And share your feedback here or on X (@PADeosarran)

Thanks.
