Always so much to learn from @dhh, who is a big inspiration for all us bootstrappers. It's interesting how often the people who studied business, are also the ones who are more modest with raising and spending money in a company. The MBA sales person cliché should is probably ready for overhaul as they seem more like very financially aware. Don't spend what you don't have and don't raise what you don't need.

@dhh says most things usually fail. That wasn’t the case for @basecamp, a web app company he was a developer at or Ruby on Rails, the web application development framework he created (initially for internal use at Basecamp, but which is now widely used by many developers across the world). @vanschneider talks with David about Basecamp’s history, the importance of weighing risk with reward and the beauty of working within constraints.
