We built NovaLexy because we kept seeing the same problem again and again: translations that were technically correct, but still sounded wrong in real professional contexts. Most tools focus on producing text. Very few help you understand why a translation feels off: tone, register, cultural logic, or those invisible errors teachers and clients point out but can’t always explain clearly. As translators and language learners ourselves, that gap was frustrating. So we started with one idea: what if a tool didn’t just translate, but reviewed your translation the way a human expert would? That became the Playground. You paste your source and your translation, and NovaLexy analyzes meaning, terminology choices, register, and professional flow. From there, we added AI Mentors to answer practical questions like “Is this formal enough for a legal email?” and Templates for real business, legal, and academic scenarios. The product evolved through constant testing with students, freelancers, and working translators — and most of our improvements came directly from their feedback. NovaLexy isn’t about replacing translators. It’s about helping them move from “correct” to truly professional. We’re excited (and a little nervous) to finally share it here, and we’d love to hear your honest thoughts, questions, or criticism.
