Cool concept @tyewang I know lots of people create their own Google Maps to remember fave places but like the social element here - what drove you to build this?

Hi @abadesi, thanks for asking! Nombler started off solely as a personal tool for organizing places. Google maps, foursquare, spreadsheets were all too cumbersome and annoying to use. However, I later realized that the vast majority of the maps I made were maps that I wanted to share with friends. That became the inspiration for the social element.
@abadesi @tyewang I find Google map's new custom lists feature to be super easy to use and to share with friends. The old custom maps were cumbersome.

I'd rethink your onboarding. Let me add a favourite place, and then ask me to register. Because you've provided me with value with your product, I'm more likely to enter my personal details.

@productpearson that's a great idea, thanks for the feedback!

It seems like a nice to for community groups, meetups and tours. Will you add more privacy features, like making maps only available via password or for a limited time an date? Also, an opt in for sharing ones information would be nice.

@graphicdesignny great questions. More sharing options and privacy features are in the pipeline, such as the ability to share with only specific users. As for opt-in for info sharing, can you say a little more about what information you're referring to?

Very interesting concept.

Foursquare lists could use an upgrade. This seems like a good potential alternative.
