Two weeks ago I began to explore extracting SEO data from tools like Ahrefs and SEMrush for a list of around 18,000 websites I had been collecting since last year. I tweeted an example of what I had been working on and people were very interested, so over the course of 48 hours, I quickly cleaned up the data as much as possible, created an Airtable UI, and created the Niche Site Metrics product on Gumroad. In just two weeks, the product has sold more than 300 copies, and now that I have increased the number of sites in the database to over 74k, I'm focusing on improving and enriching the data to make it as usable as possible for entrepreneurs, investors, and online business nerds to find profitable niches and low-competition SEO keywords for their blog.
