Hey everyone, I'm the founder of getFullYear.com, and I wanted to quickly share why we made this. I've seen how annoying it is for devs to change that copyright year in website footers every January 1st. It's 2025 and we need a more efficient way to do this. We built getFullYear.com because we think devs deserve a break from that. We spent a lot of time making an easy API that just works, so you don't have to worry about it. We want you to focus on the stuff that really matters. We've been working hard behind the scenes lately to make sure everything is running smoothly. I'm here if you have questions, and I'm stoked to make things a little easier for you all! Sponsored by: Manscaped: trim the hedges below

Thanks for making this! Is it planned to have a feature that makes the display real-time? If someone visits your website on Dec 31st 23:59 PM, the Copyright should automatically change while celebrating new year. Maybe even add some fireworks and a complementary glass of champagne?

@sh4yy Isn't that actually just new Date().getFullYear() or am I misunderstanding something here?

@sh4yy @tsc_home no it’s something far greater. It leverages cutting edge ai models to predict the following year -1

@sh4yy @tsc_home actually getFullYear() method on the Date object is big JavaScript trying to steal customers from Shay. Don't fall for it. Use getfullyear.com.

@sh4yy @tsc_home it’s build in rust man. They’re not the same

It must be the product of the year.

The only tool I really pay a enterprise plan for!

Such a time saver. If you only have a single app, you'll probably think it's not worth the time, but when you have more than one app, this service saves so much time with having to update each year in each repository yearly.

I rarely comment on product launches here, but this one I had to. This is amazing! I have been wanting to use something like this for years. You do not understand the headache it is to manage multiple codebases, different languages and frameworks. This is a simple request to get the full year. Thanks a bunch for this product.
