This is my latest tool which hunts down recently expired brandable domain names and emails you a list every day. It's handy for entrepreneurs or domain investors who want a great domain name or just looking for new project ideas to work on (like me.) I've been using this myself to find nice ideas for new projects. I hope others finds it useful as well. Here's a sample of how to use it: https://namegrab.io/dropped-doma...

Hey @kashif_siddiqui3, congrats on the launch! I will definitely try it out. When starting new side projects, I usually spend way too much time thinking about a proper name that still has an available domain. This product could solve that issue :) Cheers!

@phil_schwengel that’s awesome. thanks a lot. Hit me up if you need more features to fit your needs. ;)

Love this tool: you do nothing and just get useful updates. If you add more whois services and domain stats, that would be great! Congrats on the launch!
Kashif
@ikozlov thanks ❤️ What kind of domain stats would you be interested in?
Ivan Kozlov
@kashif_siddiqui2 I think age is the most important. Traffic + geo also might be useful.
Kashif
@ikozlov gotcha. Good one, I’ll try to ship it next week.

I can totally relate to how tough is it to find the right domain. This could be super helpful to founders or investors. Congratulations @kashif_siddiqui2

@gauravgoyal_gg thanks a bunch Gaurav :)

Hello @kashif_siddiqui2 Thanks for a great project Is it possible to see upcoming (e.g. 1 day ahead) expiration dates? I don't know how difficult it is technically to implement, but it would be nice to have this feature. Have a nice day
Kashif
@sbondaryev that’s a good idea. It could be a separate area in the app that notifies you of upcoming domain expiry. The main issue though is that the number of “expiring” domains are orders of magnitude higher than dropped domains. So users will be looking at a much larger lists daily. Maybe some pre-filtering could help with that. Will investigate. Thanks for the nice idea.

@kashif_siddiqui2 I guess it's because a lot of them will auto-renew in the end of the day, right? Maybe add a posibility for the premium users to track the domains they are interested in? Anyway, the current functionality is great. Wish you luck! P.S I am planning to launch my project soon. But I am a new member. I noticed that you also joined the community not so long. If you have time, could you share your experience with the preparations?
Kashif
@sbondaryev "...a lot of them will auto-renew in the end of ..." Correct. Many renew, and many others get sniped by backorder services. I'm actually working on adding the domain tracking feature soon, so users will be able to create their favorite filters and get notified if any match. As for the Launch, it went quite well, to my surprise tbh. Few things I did: 1. Prepped my landing page to make sure the CTA and explanation were clear before launching. 2. Added PH embed tags to my landing page header and started sending some traffic here even before launch. 3. Shared about the launch beforehand on my Twitter. I've been slowly building a following there, which really helped. On launch day, I had a lot of initial traffic from my followers to PH, which helped with traction, I think. 4. I prepared my email templates that went out to all my subs right after the launch with a link to this page and asking for support. 5. I kept engaging in PH comments and replied to most of them. Plus, lots of them gave good feedback, which I implemented quickly on the site (Like updating my CTA based on feedback, etc.). 6. I also went quite serious on analytics and tracked things well throughout the launch. I wrote about it in detail here if you'd like to see it: https://twitter.com/HelloKashif/... There were probably many more tiny things I did that I forgot 😅 Happy to go in detail on DM or Twitter if you need. Hope this helps

Will try it out. Seems interesting. Where do you source the data of expired domains from? Also is there an auction system in place?
Kashif
@john_johnson16 Thanks buddy. Atm I'm sourcing from few different whois services like whoisapixml and whoisfreaks, but planning to add more sources in future. There's no auction in place as these domains are available directly from any registrar you like. Is that what you meant with 'auction'? Or did you had something else in mind?

Good to have on your bookmarks if you are looking for a name.
