Users choose their departure airport and travel dates, and the system instantly books a surprise trip including return flights and a hotel stay. I’m Gaurav, the founder of Mystery Holidays. The idea came from seeing how traditional “mystery holiday” deals worked behind the scenes. Most relied on vouchers, manual booking, hidden supplements, and a lot of back-and-forth with travel agents. It often took days to confirm a trip that was supposed to be simple and fun. We wanted to rebuild the concept from scratch. With Mystery Holidays, customers simply choose their travel dates and exact departure airport upfront. Our system then automatically allocates the holiday tier at the moment of booking. Trips are assigned across three tiers: • Bronze – 2-night European city breaks • Silver – 4-night Mediterranean escapes • Gold – 7-night long-haul holidays Most bookings receive Bronze trips, while a smaller number of travellers are automatically upgraded to Silver or Gold as part of the surprise. The goal is to make booking a mystery holiday fast, transparent, and genuinely fun again. Would love to hear your thoughts or feedback!
